2016
The Early Days
We launched in Tokyo as HCCR - five people, a license on the wall, and big ambition. We worked across sectors, but the high-stakes searches - the ones that mattered most - kept pulling us into DeepTech: AI, Robotics, Mobility, and Infrastructure.
We didn’t chase DeepTech. It found us.
Offshore Research Hub - then, now, next
We launched a dedicated research centre in India to scale our DeepTech sourcing. As the market evolved, we pivoted toward cutting‑edge tech and proprietary tools - transitioning from a hub model to in‑house innovation that powers today’s MESHD advantage.

Change We Chose - and Some We Didn’t
Business was booming, the sky was blue… then COVID hit. Budgets froze. Talent vanished. We stayed close to clients, adapted fast, and kept delivering - even in trackpants. We learned. We endured. That mattered.
We learned a lot. And we didn’t fold. That mattered.
MESHD Is Born
Some questioned the move. Why walk away from a generalist model that was working “well enough”? But “well enough” was never the goal. You don’t win championships by playing it safe - and we weren’t here to stay mid-table.
We built for what the market actually needed… even if it didn’t know it yet. RPO+ was designed to meet growing demand for scale - and to do it better than anyone else.
We saw what others were doing. Then we raised the bar. And we keep raising it.

US Expansion
In 2023, MESHD expanded into the U.S. to support our Japanese clients’ global ambitions while deepening partnerships with North American tech and investment leaders.
The result: Japanese innovators entering the U.S. felt supported as if MESHD were next door, and North American partners gained a cross-border DeepTech recruitment ally - seamlessly aligning our global DNA to regional impact.
Bridging East and West: DeepTech recruitment made local, global.
Building for the Next Era
We launched Executive OnDemand and Executive Access - designed for faster, sharper leadership engagement. Because in high-stakes hiring, timing beats everything.
Chasing unicorns is hard. Knowing where they graze - and getting there first - is how you win.
